We cannot begin to tell you how thoroughly satisfied we are, with not only our beautiful new slate roof, but every employee we had interaction with from start to finish.Mike and Damon were our first introduction to this company. They were polite, professional, informative and thorough in their presentation.Next we had several (over the phone) encounters with May. She worked diligently and professionally in getting our job scheduled between the time frame we needed. Now come the installers, Peter and Victor. These brothers are hard working, VERY knowledgeable, professional men with the highest of integrity. They started the job late (after coming from another job some distance away) the first evening, worked until dark. They returned the next morning, early, and put in 12 hours of work. (Again until just before dark)Came back and did an amazing job cleaning up everything! This is a quality product and a quality installation from a quality company we would recommend at any time.Thank you Interlock Industries, Inc. Review: April 15, 2021Completion: October 16, 2020

So I needed to get a new roof on my 1925 farm house and I wanted to get something that would last the rest of my lifetime; a metal roof was the right call. After looking online at different companies and getting a couple quotes, I decided to go with interlock. Damon showed us how the roof is installed and the interlocking shingles sold us. We had crazy wildfires here in Oregon 2020 that messed up a lot of schedules but the company was very responsive and accommodating. Victor was the lead of the installers and they were timely, friendly, professional in appearance and a pleasure to have onsite. They were very respectful of our property and cleaned up all the debris that comes with roofing. I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants a metal roof to last. Thank you Interlock, your team did a great job. Positive Responsiveness, Quality, Professionalism Services Roof installation

We had already decided on a metal roof when we came across Interlock. It was one of those things where we were looking for a product with a quality standard that could match up to what we wanted. I’ll say this, Interlock works a bit differently from most of the roofing people we talked to. You’re going to talk to a sales person at your home visit, but don’t let that put you off. They’re knowledgeable and if you haven’t done your research, there will be some great information in the whole thing that’s really worth soaking up. Anyway, we were satisfied with the quality of the product in hand and decided to go ahead and go with Interlock. The install was delayed by a week due to some shipping issues, but that was really the beginning and end of the troubles. The Interlock folks let me know what was going on and when they’d have it sorted. All fine by me. It’s a lifetime roof, I’m not too upset if it takes an extra week to put it on. As I understand it, mine was a bit of a one-off problem anyway. The roofers were professional, quick, and thorough. Great people who worked quickly, cleanly, and the cleanup at the end of the day was nigh on amazing. Apparently the shipping issues on my initial order led to the final install of a very few pieces being delayed a few days, but before I knew it they were back out and finishing the job. Along they way they kept me updated on anything I needed to know. The finished product is the real question, I guess. And man, let me tell you. We’re more than happy with how it looks on the house. It’s especially crazy knowing that something that looks that good is going to last. You see standing-seam metal roofs all over and even with these you sort of wonder how “metal” the Interlock system is going to look. It looks great. Seriously, even right in the driveway it’s hard to tell it’s not either a slate or colored shingle roof. It’s really beautiful and it’s going to be there without the need for constant maintenance for a long, long time. That really makes the cost worth it. If you’re thinking about a metal roof, give Interlock a serious thought. The sticker price might make you jump a little in some areas than others, but now that it’s on the house I am happy we decided to go that way. It’s beautiful, it’s going to last a good long time, and there’s a certain confidence I get from knowing I’ll be dealing with the people who make it if there’s a problem.

We had a gorgeous Red Shingle Interlock roof installed and it had completely changed the look of our house! This roof was a long time coming…we placed the order in September 2021 and knew there was a 6mo wait but we were determined to wait it out and it was so worth it!The crew worked so fast and efficiently and really did a fantastic job. They were also super clean and made a great effort to leave no mess behind and even took care not to crush my plants. This is an expensive roof, make no bones about it, but the quality and durability as well as the beautiful look all are worth it.My house has had so many complements since it was done and compared to my neighbor next door who had a roof put on a couple months ago with traditional shingles, it is clear my roof is the favorite of the block!! To Interlock Roofing: We just had our house installed with a new metal roof from Interlock Roofing, and I was thoroughly pleased with the entire experience. That is a tall order in this day and age if you have had any dealings with contractors. The entire staff was excellent, from the first contact with Mike and Ross, who were very patient with my wife and me as we tried to pick out a color and type of roof from so many different choices. I appreciated their gentleness and show of concern for the decision. These two are a great team and have a lot of experience to bring to us. The installers were excellent as well, and we asked questions of them and they took the time to answer all of our concerns with kindness and showed they were very experienced in installing roofs. The interesting thing was ALL of the debris around the house that accumulates with a new roof, tiny pieces, large pieces, all were taken care of in the cleanup at the end and the area was spotless! I even looked for any piece left behind, but there was none! The end result is a beautiful roof that my wife and I are both impressed with, making our house look so nice – like brand new! We are amazed. Thank you all for a wonderful experience, and we look forward to a roof that will last 50 plus years, which by the way is longer than I plan on being around! Thanks too, for being such a great group of people to work with, providing a very pleasant experience.

Our home was recently the lucky recipient of a new aluminum shingle roof by Interlock. We are sure that if our house could, it would be singing! So, my husband I and will gladly speak for it. We cannot say enough good things about the quality of our new roof material and installation. From the first visit with the sales team (thank you Mike and Ross) we were impressed with the professional and trustworthy service of Interlock representatives. The whole job took place right on schedule with lots of communication all along the way. The installation crew (thank you Peter!) was hard working, intent on making sure every detail was done to perfection, considerate of our landscaping and a pleasure to have on our property. The finished product: WOW! We love it! This new Interlock roof not only makes our farmhouse and garage look fabulous, in addition, we are so happy to know we will never scrape moss again, not to mention that we will probably never even replace our roof again! The color and style of the shingles are so pretty and we know our home is protected from the elements like never before. We won’t hesitate to recommend Interlock Roofing whenever we have an opportunity. This company has developed a product that really measures up to everything it advertises. Thank you, everyone at Interlock. We loved doing business with you!

Review: May 5, 2021Completion: April 14, 2021

We had decided that we were ready to invest in a metal roof in our "forever home" for, among other reasons, its durability, eco-friendlly recyclable materials and light weight for seismic concerns. Damon was punctual and professional and an excellent salesperson. We had a very positive experience with May regarding scheduling; she was able to accommodate our timeframe and the crew showed up earlier than anticipated. The workmen were professional and very fast, and completed the tear-off and roof installation in 2.5 days. We were very impressed. The new roof is extremely attractive, and provided the whole house with the equivalent of a much needed "facelift!" We are delighted with our new roof and enjoy it every time we step away from the house to admire it. More thorough clean up, using magnetic tools to discover razors, nails and staples from tearoff. Better, more complete tarping to catch debris, not only on the slant side of the roof, but also the gable sides that are not slanted. They were not tarped, and that is where most of the debris and nails were found. An assessment for lead paint BEFORE working, which was promised, but not done. A smaller Interlock sign, in less garish (ie not fluorescent) colors, to display that would be acceptable for Washington County and the laws of other areas. I am not sure if the cardboard, water bottles and metal was separated and recycled off site, because it was all tossed into the same dumpster, but I would hope that since Interlock prides itself on eco-friendly recyclable materials, that it would follow through with recycling paper and metal as well. Roof, material, workmanship: 5 stars, Areas for improvement: Testing for lead pre-install, Tarping for Debris catch and Cleanup: Improvement needed, Communication re: Cleanup: Improvement needed, Information re: payment (cash, no credit card, upon completion): Improvement needed

We are very pleased with our new Interlock roof. While our house is nearly 100 years old, the new roof fits perfectly with the style and enhances the look of our home. We began receiving compliments from our neighbors almost immediately. Michael Laduke and his crew were professional and courteous, keeping the surrounding yard clean of debris and closing the gates each day to prevent our dog from escaping. Although the crew was slightly delayed due to an unfortunate encounter with a deer on the road, the work was completed just before the Thanksgiving holiday, adding the health and well-being of the crew and the beauty and protection of a new roof to our list of things to be thankful for. We greatly appreciate Mr. Laduke’s commitment to detail and his personal assurance that the project was completed before the holiday weekend. We would most certainly recommend Interlock Roofing Systems to anyone considering roof replacement.

Review: February 3, 2016Completion: January 8, 2016

Please consider this my letter of testimony regarding the installation of my beautiful Musket Grey Slate roof! From the beginning of this “roof project”, all of my conversations with Meg and Claudette were friendly and my questions were answered by these pleasant and knowledgeable ladies. Since I had already seen a presentation with a neighbor, Mike Rasmussen was able to save us both some time as I was very ready to get my leaky roof replaced! He thoroughly explained how the aluminum fits together and assured me the trained installers really did know what they were doing! Rolland called to let me know when he would be delivering the materials. He was right on time – even with snow and icy roads to contend with! He very neatly placed boxed materials next to the garage and then covered everything with a tarp to keep it dry. I was concerned with his and the installers’ safety during those unusual winter weather conditions but both Rolland and Peter seemed to take it in stride. Peter was very efficient and explained how things worked and answered my questions that I didn’t know I had until I watched how fast yet carefully he worked. Mike was right – Peter was quick and there was very little wasted material when he had completed everything! As it turned out, Peter was the only installer and he wasted NO TIME removing the chimney, getting my skylight replaced and the roof was done in only two days!! It was unusually COLD in Oregon those days; January 7th and 8th. He worked well into the dark evening hours on both nights, which I thought was above and beyond the call of duty. He carefully cleaned up after himself before he left. As you see, I am very impressed with my new roof. At one point, I was concerned that the aluminum may be “noisy”, however, with the amount of hard rain we have had, there is no more noise than there was with my old shingle roof. Again, I am impressed. My son is thrilled that he will never have to get up and toss laundry soap around on the roof to kill the moss! Just today, a gentleman stopped to chat about my roof as he’d noticed the sign in my yard. I happened to be outside for a few minutes and was happy to share my very pleasant experience with him. Neighbors have stopped to look at the sign and check out the roof on their walks. Enclosed are pictures of my “roof project”. Strangers would not know there ever was a chimney on the house. Peter was very careful removing the bricks which I appreciated since the new Leaf Guard system was recently installed. I thank you all for your help with updating my house. Please feel free to call me at 503-xxx-xxxx if you would like further comments.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Bridgeton

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Bridgeton, Oregon. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Bridgeton.

Can I get a metal roof that looks like slate, cedar shake, or tile?

Yes—Interlock offers five profiles: Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, Standing Seam, and Mediterranean Tile, each cast from roofing-grade aluminum to match the visual character of those materials. The aluminum panels are four-way interlocking, so they install as a unified system while delivering the appearance you want. With about 2,957 sunshine hours per year in Bridgeton, the Alunar 70% PVDF coating maintains color fidelity for 30 years against chalking and fading, so your roof's look stays true through decades of Pacific Northwest weather.

Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles?

Over the roof's lifetime, metal roofing typically saves money because you won't replace it. Asphalt shingles last 15–20 years in wet climates; Bridgeton receives about 1,468 mm of rain annually, which accelerates degradation. A metal roof's lifetime limited, non-prorated warranty covers material defects for the original owner, and the roof is transferable—giving the next owner 50 years of protection from completion. That means no tear-off costs, no labor for replacement, and no asphalt debris in landfills. Current financing offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation.

Why can't aluminum roofs rust like steel ones, and does that matter in the Pacific Northwest?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—rust only forms when iron oxidizes. Instead, aluminum develops a thin oxide layer that is actually protective and self-heals if scratched. In wet climates like Bridgeton (about 1,468 mm of rain yearly), steel roofs slowly corrode, weakening fasteners and panels. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish is applied to both sides of Interlock panels, adding a second barrier against moisture in salt air and high-humidity zones. This dual protection means your roof resists the damp that degrades other metals.

Is a metal roof fire-resistant?

Interlock aluminum roofing is non-combustible and earns Class A fire classification when installed to spec—the highest fire rating available. The material itself will not ignite, burn, or spread flames, making it a strong choice if wildfire risk or fire code compliance is a concern. The roofing is verified under ICC-ES ESR-1790 (IBC/IRC, reissued 2025) and CALGreen standards, so it meets both Oregon residential code and energy-efficiency guidelines. Combined with its durability through Bridgeton's freeze–thaw cycles (about 36 days yearly), a Class A metal roof offers both fire safety and long-term weather resistance.

How much maintenance does a metal roof need compared to asphalt or wood?

Metal roofing requires far less maintenance than asphalt or wood. Asphalt shingles suffer in Bridgeton's wet climate—about 1,468 mm of rain annually promotes algae, moss, and granule loss that demand regular cleaning. Wood roofs (cedar shake) are prone to rot, splitting, and insect damage in the same moisture-heavy environment. Interlock's aluminum and Alunar fluorocarbon finish are verified CALGreen-certified for reduced maintenance; they shed moss and debris naturally and don't require sealing, re-staining, or tear-offs. You'll spend less time and money keeping your roof sound.

Will a metal roof help my home's curb appeal and resale value?

A metal roof signals durability, quality, and low future maintenance to buyers—attributes that appeal in a wet Pacific Northwest market where roofing problems are common and costly. With five aesthetic profiles available, you choose the look—not a compromise between appearance and performance. The roof's 30-year color warranty and Class A fire rating are features buyers research and appreciate. The lifetime material warranty and 50-year transferable coverage give the next owner peace of mind. In Bridgeton, where annual snowfall reaches about 48 cm and wind gusts to 116 km/h, a roof that won't fail, rot, or leak is a genuine value-add.

How long does installation take, and can you install metal roofing over my existing roof?

Installation timelines depend on your roof's size and weather, but metal roofing typically installs faster than shingles because the interlocking panels cover more area per piece. One major advantage: Interlock's extraordinary lightweight design—the Shingle profile at about 0.41 lb/sq ft and the Mediterranean Tile at about 0.59 lb/sq ft—means you can usually install over an existing roof without structural reinforcement. This eliminates tear-off labor and debris fees. Our local installer, Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc., has served the region since 1997 and can assess your roof and provide a timeline. Current financing offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027.

Is metal roofing better for the environment than asphalt?

Significantly. Interlock aluminum roofing is approximately 95% recyclable—at end of life, the material returns to the recycling stream instead of a landfill. By contrast, asphalt roofs are torn off every 15–20 years in Bridgeton's wet climate and sent to disposal. Over a century, a home might see six asphalt replacements, while one metal roof lasts a lifetime. The recycled aluminum content in Interlock panels, plus the elimination of repeated tear-offs, means you're breaking the asphalt replacement cycle and reducing your home's landfill footprint significantly.

Will a metal roof withstand Bridgeton's wind and storms?

Yes. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. Bridgeton's typical daily-max winds are about 15 km/h, with gusts reaching 116 km/h—well within the roof's rated capacity. The interlocking design means panels lock together mechanically; they don't rely solely on fasteners, so wind can't peel or lift individual shingles the way it can with asphalt. Combined with your region's heavy annual rainfall (about 1,468 mm) and freeze–thaw stress (about 36 days yearly), the panel's structural integrity keeps you protected through every season.

Does my metal roof warranty cover hail damage?

Yes. Interlock roofing earns UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty explicitly covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This rigorous impact rating is rare; many standard roofs carry Class 1 or 2. Some insurance companies recognize Class 4 impact resistance and offer premium discounts on homes with such roofing. Because Bridgeton receives weather-related stress (about 36 freeze–thaw cycles yearly), the combination of impact resistance and non-corrosive aluminum means your roof absorbs storm damage better than materials that degrade over time.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Bridgeton’s climate?

Yes. Bridgeton averages about 48 cm of snow, 1468 mm of rain, roughly 36 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 116 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
