We cannot begin to tell you how thoroughly satisfied we are, with not only our beautiful new slate roof, but every employee we had interaction with from start to finish.Mike and Damon were our first introduction to this company. They were polite, professional, informative and thorough in their presentation.Next we had several (over the phone) encounters with May. She worked diligently and professionally in getting our job scheduled between the time frame we needed. Now come the installers, Peter and Victor. These brothers are hard working, VERY knowledgeable, professional men with the highest of integrity. They started the job late (after coming from another job some distance away) the first evening, worked until dark. They returned the next morning, early, and put in 12 hours of work. (Again until just before dark)Came back and did an amazing job cleaning up everything! This is a quality product and a quality installation from a quality company we would recommend at any time.Thank you Interlock Industries, Inc. Review: April 15, 2021Completion: October 16, 2020

So I needed to get a new roof on my 1925 farm house and I wanted to get something that would last the rest of my lifetime; a metal roof was the right call. After looking online at different companies and getting a couple quotes, I decided to go with interlock. Damon showed us how the roof is installed and the interlocking shingles sold us. We had crazy wildfires here in Oregon 2020 that messed up a lot of schedules but the company was very responsive and accommodating. Victor was the lead of the installers and they were timely, friendly, professional in appearance and a pleasure to have onsite. They were very respectful of our property and cleaned up all the debris that comes with roofing. I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants a metal roof to last. Thank you Interlock, your team did a great job. Positive Responsiveness, Quality, Professionalism Services Roof installation

We had already decided on a metal roof when we came across Interlock. It was one of those things where we were looking for a product with a quality standard that could match up to what we wanted. I’ll say this, Interlock works a bit differently from most of the roofing people we talked to. You’re going to talk to a sales person at your home visit, but don’t let that put you off. They’re knowledgeable and if you haven’t done your research, there will be some great information in the whole thing that’s really worth soaking up. Anyway, we were satisfied with the quality of the product in hand and decided to go ahead and go with Interlock. The install was delayed by a week due to some shipping issues, but that was really the beginning and end of the troubles. The Interlock folks let me know what was going on and when they’d have it sorted. All fine by me. It’s a lifetime roof, I’m not too upset if it takes an extra week to put it on. As I understand it, mine was a bit of a one-off problem anyway. The roofers were professional, quick, and thorough. Great people who worked quickly, cleanly, and the cleanup at the end of the day was nigh on amazing. Apparently the shipping issues on my initial order led to the final install of a very few pieces being delayed a few days, but before I knew it they were back out and finishing the job. Along they way they kept me updated on anything I needed to know. The finished product is the real question, I guess. And man, let me tell you. We’re more than happy with how it looks on the house. It’s especially crazy knowing that something that looks that good is going to last. You see standing-seam metal roofs all over and even with these you sort of wonder how “metal” the Interlock system is going to look. It looks great. Seriously, even right in the driveway it’s hard to tell it’s not either a slate or colored shingle roof. It’s really beautiful and it’s going to be there without the need for constant maintenance for a long, long time. That really makes the cost worth it. If you’re thinking about a metal roof, give Interlock a serious thought. The sticker price might make you jump a little in some areas than others, but now that it’s on the house I am happy we decided to go that way. It’s beautiful, it’s going to last a good long time, and there’s a certain confidence I get from knowing I’ll be dealing with the people who make it if there’s a problem.

We had a gorgeous Red Shingle Interlock roof installed and it had completely changed the look of our house! This roof was a long time coming…we placed the order in September 2021 and knew there was a 6mo wait but we were determined to wait it out and it was so worth it!The crew worked so fast and efficiently and really did a fantastic job. They were also super clean and made a great effort to leave no mess behind and even took care not to crush my plants. This is an expensive roof, make no bones about it, but the quality and durability as well as the beautiful look all are worth it.My house has had so many complements since it was done and compared to my neighbor next door who had a roof put on a couple months ago with traditional shingles, it is clear my roof is the favorite of the block!! To Interlock Roofing: We just had our house installed with a new metal roof from Interlock Roofing, and I was thoroughly pleased with the entire experience. That is a tall order in this day and age if you have had any dealings with contractors. The entire staff was excellent, from the first contact with Mike and Ross, who were very patient with my wife and me as we tried to pick out a color and type of roof from so many different choices. I appreciated their gentleness and show of concern for the decision. These two are a great team and have a lot of experience to bring to us. The installers were excellent as well, and we asked questions of them and they took the time to answer all of our concerns with kindness and showed they were very experienced in installing roofs. The interesting thing was ALL of the debris around the house that accumulates with a new roof, tiny pieces, large pieces, all were taken care of in the cleanup at the end and the area was spotless! I even looked for any piece left behind, but there was none! The end result is a beautiful roof that my wife and I are both impressed with, making our house look so nice – like brand new! We are amazed. Thank you all for a wonderful experience, and we look forward to a roof that will last 50 plus years, which by the way is longer than I plan on being around! Thanks too, for being such a great group of people to work with, providing a very pleasant experience.

Our home was recently the lucky recipient of a new aluminum shingle roof by Interlock. We are sure that if our house could, it would be singing! So, my husband I and will gladly speak for it. We cannot say enough good things about the quality of our new roof material and installation. From the first visit with the sales team (thank you Mike and Ross) we were impressed with the professional and trustworthy service of Interlock representatives. The whole job took place right on schedule with lots of communication all along the way. The installation crew (thank you Peter!) was hard working, intent on making sure every detail was done to perfection, considerate of our landscaping and a pleasure to have on our property. The finished product: WOW! We love it! This new Interlock roof not only makes our farmhouse and garage look fabulous, in addition, we are so happy to know we will never scrape moss again, not to mention that we will probably never even replace our roof again! The color and style of the shingles are so pretty and we know our home is protected from the elements like never before. We won’t hesitate to recommend Interlock Roofing whenever we have an opportunity. This company has developed a product that really measures up to everything it advertises. Thank you, everyone at Interlock. We loved doing business with you!

Review: May 5, 2021Completion: April 14, 2021

We had decided that we were ready to invest in a metal roof in our "forever home" for, among other reasons, its durability, eco-friendlly recyclable materials and light weight for seismic concerns. Damon was punctual and professional and an excellent salesperson. We had a very positive experience with May regarding scheduling; she was able to accommodate our timeframe and the crew showed up earlier than anticipated. The workmen were professional and very fast, and completed the tear-off and roof installation in 2.5 days. We were very impressed. The new roof is extremely attractive, and provided the whole house with the equivalent of a much needed "facelift!" We are delighted with our new roof and enjoy it every time we step away from the house to admire it. More thorough clean up, using magnetic tools to discover razors, nails and staples from tearoff. Better, more complete tarping to catch debris, not only on the slant side of the roof, but also the gable sides that are not slanted. They were not tarped, and that is where most of the debris and nails were found. An assessment for lead paint BEFORE working, which was promised, but not done. A smaller Interlock sign, in less garish (ie not fluorescent) colors, to display that would be acceptable for Washington County and the laws of other areas. I am not sure if the cardboard, water bottles and metal was separated and recycled off site, because it was all tossed into the same dumpster, but I would hope that since Interlock prides itself on eco-friendly recyclable materials, that it would follow through with recycling paper and metal as well. Roof, material, workmanship: 5 stars, Areas for improvement: Testing for lead pre-install, Tarping for Debris catch and Cleanup: Improvement needed, Communication re: Cleanup: Improvement needed, Information re: payment (cash, no credit card, upon completion): Improvement needed

We are very pleased with our new Interlock roof. While our house is nearly 100 years old, the new roof fits perfectly with the style and enhances the look of our home. We began receiving compliments from our neighbors almost immediately. Michael Laduke and his crew were professional and courteous, keeping the surrounding yard clean of debris and closing the gates each day to prevent our dog from escaping. Although the crew was slightly delayed due to an unfortunate encounter with a deer on the road, the work was completed just before the Thanksgiving holiday, adding the health and well-being of the crew and the beauty and protection of a new roof to our list of things to be thankful for. We greatly appreciate Mr. Laduke’s commitment to detail and his personal assurance that the project was completed before the holiday weekend. We would most certainly recommend Interlock Roofing Systems to anyone considering roof replacement.

Review: February 3, 2016Completion: January 8, 2016

Please consider this my letter of testimony regarding the installation of my beautiful Musket Grey Slate roof! From the beginning of this “roof project”, all of my conversations with Meg and Claudette were friendly and my questions were answered by these pleasant and knowledgeable ladies. Since I had already seen a presentation with a neighbor, Mike Rasmussen was able to save us both some time as I was very ready to get my leaky roof replaced! He thoroughly explained how the aluminum fits together and assured me the trained installers really did know what they were doing! Rolland called to let me know when he would be delivering the materials. He was right on time – even with snow and icy roads to contend with! He very neatly placed boxed materials next to the garage and then covered everything with a tarp to keep it dry. I was concerned with his and the installers’ safety during those unusual winter weather conditions but both Rolland and Peter seemed to take it in stride. Peter was very efficient and explained how things worked and answered my questions that I didn’t know I had until I watched how fast yet carefully he worked. Mike was right – Peter was quick and there was very little wasted material when he had completed everything! As it turned out, Peter was the only installer and he wasted NO TIME removing the chimney, getting my skylight replaced and the roof was done in only two days!! It was unusually COLD in Oregon those days; January 7th and 8th. He worked well into the dark evening hours on both nights, which I thought was above and beyond the call of duty. He carefully cleaned up after himself before he left. As you see, I am very impressed with my new roof. At one point, I was concerned that the aluminum may be “noisy”, however, with the amount of hard rain we have had, there is no more noise than there was with my old shingle roof. Again, I am impressed. My son is thrilled that he will never have to get up and toss laundry soap around on the roof to kill the moss! Just today, a gentleman stopped to chat about my roof as he’d noticed the sign in my yard. I happened to be outside for a few minutes and was happy to share my very pleasant experience with him. Neighbors have stopped to look at the sign and check out the roof on their walks. Enclosed are pictures of my “roof project”. Strangers would not know there ever was a chimney on the house. Peter was very careful removing the bricks which I appreciated since the new Leaf Guard system was recently installed. I thank you all for your help with updating my house. Please feel free to call me at 503-xxx-xxxx if you would like further comments.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Woodland Park

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Woodland Park, Oregon. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Woodland Park.

Does metal roofing handle Woodland Park's snow and ice buildup?

Metal roofing sheds snow and ice far better than asphalt because the smooth, interlocking aluminum surface provides no grip for ice dams to form. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are warranted to resist wind gusts up to 120 mph, which matters when Woodland Park sees gusts to 116 km/h and about 48 cm of snow annually across roughly 36 freeze-thaw days. The lightweight design means no structural strain from accumulated snow, and optional snow guards let you manage runoff safely if you prefer controlled descent rather than immediate shedding.

Will heavy rain leak through metal roofing panels?

The interlocking aluminum panels create a continuous weather barrier that laughs at heavy rain. Woodland Park receives about 1468 mm of annual rainfall—well above national averages—so your roof must be bulletproof. Interlock's four-way mechanical lock means water sheds downslope between panels; there's no fastener head exposure, no nail holes to weep through. Each panel overlaps its neighbor on all four sides, turning your roof into a labyrinth water cannot penetrate. When installed to spec over solid deck and underlayment, the system delivers the same dry interior asphalt owners expect but without asphalt's breakdown from UV and moisture cycling.

Why won't my aluminum metal roof rust like steel roofs do?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. Steel corrodes when iron oxidizes; aluminum instead forms a microscopically thin oxide layer that actually protects the metal beneath and self-heals when scratched. Interlock uses roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum (ASTM B209 certified) plus a Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish on both sides—extra insurance in moist climates. Woodland Park's 1468 mm annual rainfall and frequent freeze-thaw cycles (about 36 per year) would accelerate steel corrosion; aluminum thrives under these conditions and carries a 30-year coating warranty against chalking and fading, measured per ASTM D4214 and D2244 standards.

Can my existing roof structure support metal roofing?

Yes—metal is so light that most existing roofs need no reinforcement. Interlock's Mediterranean Tile profile weighs only about 0.59 lb/sq ft, making it roughly 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Compare that to slate or tile's crushing deadweight, and suddenly your existing framing is more than adequate. The four-way interlocking system can often install directly over your current asphalt shingles, cutting labor and disposal costs. This matters in Woodland Park where freeze-thaw cycles (roughly 36 annually) and 48 cm of seasonal snow would strain a heavy roof system; aluminum's featherweight design means no ice-dam surge, no structural fatigue, and no expensive rafter upgrades.

What's the real lifespan of a metal roof, and what does the warranty cover?

Interlock metal roofing carries The Guardian—a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. That's a promise that lasts your ownership. If you sell, the warranty transfers once to the next owner with a 50-year term from completion, adding resale appeal. With Interlock manufactured since 1998 and installed from coastal homes to Antarctic research stations, real-world evidence shows these roofs outlast asphalt by decades. Woodland Park's damp climate (1468 mm rain, 36 freeze-thaw days yearly) is exactly where metal proves itself—no degradation from moisture cycling that shreds asphalt, no curling from UV, no seasonal movement that pops fasteners loose.

How tough is a metal roof in hail, and can I get insurance breaks?

Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. That proven toughness often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts; contact your agent with the UL 2218 Class 4 rating to explore savings. Woodland Park's typical wind gusts of 116 km/h mean severe weather crosses the region regularly, so impact resistance isn't theoretical. The four-way interlocking aluminum design absorbs impact energy across a wider footprint than single-fastener systems, distributing stress instead of concentrating it. Check with your insurer—many offer premium reductions for Class 4-rated roofing, offsetting installation cost over time.

Can I get metal roofing that looks like slate, shake, or tile?

Interlock offers five distinct profiles: Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, Standing Seam, and Mediterranean Tile. Each replicates traditional material aesthetics using four-way interlocking aluminum panels, letting you choose the visual you love without the weight, maintenance, or fragility of the real thing. Slate profile suits classic Northeast-influenced homes; Cedar Shingle and Shake appeal to craftsman and coastal architecture; Mediterranean Tile works beautifully on Southwest-inspired designs; Standing Seam delivers clean contemporary lines. Since your choice is roofing-grade aluminum with a 30-year coating warranty (Alunar 70% PVDF on both sides), appearance and performance go hand-in-hand. Woodland Park's roughly 2957 annual sunshine hours mean your color choice will matter—lighter profiles reflect heat better, darker ones enhance curb appeal longer.

How much maintenance does metal roofing need compared to asphalt or tile?

Metal roofing demands far less hands-on care than asphalt, wood shake, or tile. Asphalt shingles curl and lose granules in Woodland Park's 36 annual freeze-thaw cycles and 48 cm of snow; wood shake splits and rots from the same moisture stress; tile cracks when ice expands beneath it. Interlock aluminum requires only occasional gutter cleaning and inspection—no seasonal maintenance, no pressure washing, no algae treatment, no fastener retightening. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating resists chalking and fading for 30 years (ASTM D4214/D2244 verified), so your roof's color stays true while asphalt fades gray. With 1468 mm annual rainfall, you'll appreciate that aluminum never absorbs water, never warps, and never demands the constant vigilance that traditional materials exact in damp climates.

How long does metal roof installation take, and can I install over my existing shingles?

Installation timelines vary with roof complexity and weather, but Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. has served your region since 1997 and handles scheduling efficiently. One major advantage: the lightweight aluminum system (Shingle at 0.41 lb/sq ft, Shake at 0.58, Tile at 0.59) often installs directly over your existing asphalt roof, eliminating the tear-off, disposal cost, and extended project timeline. This matters in Woodland Park's rainy climate—fewer days with exposed framing means lower risk of weather damage mid-project. Your local installer can assess your specific roof and advise whether overlay or removal makes sense for your home. Call Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. for a site visit; they'll give you a timeline and can discuss current financing (no payments, no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation).

Is metal roofing worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt?

Over a 50-year horizon, metal roofing is the last roof you'll buy. Asphalt needs replacement every 15–20 years in Woodland Park's freeze-thaw heavy climate (roughly 36 cycles annually); that's three or four tear-offs, three or four disposal fees, three or four installation projects. Metal—backed by a lifetime limited warranty for you and transferable 50-year coverage for the next owner—never needs replacement due to weather failure. Factor in maintenance (asphalt requires seasonal inspection, algae treatment, fastener checks; metal does not), energy savings from reflective coatings (energy-efficient colors with solar reflectance up to 0.55), and potential insurance discounts for UL 2218 Class 4 hail rating, and the math tilts decisively. Current financing offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation, making the transition more affordable now.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Woodland Park’s climate?

Yes. Woodland Park averages about 48 cm of snow, 1468 mm of rain, roughly 36 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 116 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
