What our customers are saying:
Hello Greg, I just had to drop you a line to tell you how pleased we are with the Interlock Roofing System that was installed last week. I have to admit that as good as I was hoping it would look, it turned out to be so much better than I had even hoped. We couldn’t be prouder of how our house looks now; the new roof is visually stunning. We can now breathe a huge sigh of relief, knowing that we’ll never again have to go out into the yard and pick up the pieces of asphalt shingles that would blow off of the roof after a storm or a high wind day. To boot, the very day after the roof was completed, we had someone who identified himself only as “your nosy neighbor from 10 miles down the road,” who stopped, knocked on our door and started asking questions about the roof. He was shocked to hear that it was a metal roof. He thought that we had installed a slate roof! He was very interested to hear all the facts about the roof, and suddenly I became Interlock Roofing’s most avid salesman. I brought out your business card so that he could take a picture of it with his cell phone, and he said he’d be contacting you soon. I’ve also been talking about the roof with some of the guys at work who had seen the before and after pictures that I brought in, and I’m sure that you will be hearing from some of them in the future too. Now, as much as I couldn’t be happier with contacting you and doing business with you, I have to tell you that even you will have to take a back seat to the super awesome job of your installers, Jesse and his team. To say we were blown away by these guys would be the understatement of the century. They came in like a whirlwind and started doing their thing and made astounding progress in such a short period of time, it blew us away. Jesse himself is such a great face to have attached to your company. He is professional, knowledgeable, and so personable that we knew in an instant that we were in good hands with him and his team. All of his team members were that way, and honestly, the hardest working group of guys that you will ever witness. We expected it to take anywhere from 5 days to a week to get our whole roof done. These guys had it done in 2 days and a couple of hours, and they left no stone unturned in doing the A-1 job that was promised. They even fixed a couple of cosmetic items on our existing siding to boot! What a great bunch of guys. And let me reiterate one more time,…Interlock, as a company, should feel confident and proud to have Jesse and his team representing them. I’m positive you will never find a better team to install your product than them. Again, thank you for the product and the work that you’ve done. You now have not only a very satisfied customer in us, but you also have a couple of very enthusiastic ambassadors for Interlock Roofing Systems.
I have made, and continuously still make, numerous recommendations to family & friends to install a Interlock roof. And, I have produced pictures on demand that I stored on my smart phone. If possible, I would be appreciative if I could get the drone footage that Jesse had taken after the finishing of the installation. I believe it would be a great selling point coming from a true customer to help propel the Interlock name. There are just a couple areas on the roof that the installation crew could have touched-on during the installation, but overall the roof looks simply amazing. Quality certainly displays the professionalism the installers had put into their work. Since the installation of our new roof, we have received numerous compliments from many of our neighbors that walk around our subdivision, plus a handful of neighbors in the adjoining subdivisions. Many questions have been asked with many answers given. We are definitely happy with our new Interlock roof. We have NOT once questioned or second guessed our decision to install an Interlock roof. It is one of the best decisions we have ever made for re-investing in our home...Thank you, Interlock!
I never really thought I could be thrilled about a roof, but I have to tell you; our new Interlock roof is beautiful! It adds true elegance to our home. We know it adds value as well, and the fact that we will never need to re-roof again is a definite advantage. Everyone within our organization, from the initial phone contact to the installation crew, was courteous and pleasant to work with. The install went smoothly and the crew kept the site clean from beginning to end. Everybody we have shown our Interlock roof to has seemed quite impressed also. We would (and in fact have already done so) recommend Interlock Roofing to others.
Excellent roof! Looks good! The installers were courteous and professional. Put the tarp all around the house and kept the site very clean. I was impressed with their super service. They bent over backward to please us. The A-Team of Roofing! When it rains, it is NOT any louder, and we are in a wind zone, and shingles have not blown off, and we have had the roof since 2008. The snow slides off, too! And the salesman knows his product and explains it well. It will add value to the house. Unlike asphalt, that's like tar and paper, and doesn't hold up. The Interlock Lifetime Roof is super durable!d Greg Weber the salesman, knows his product and explains it well. It will add value to the house. Unlike asphalt, that’s like tar and paper and doesn’t hold up. The Interlock Lifetime Roof is super durable!
We purchased our roof in 2009 and as you can see from the pictures taken in May of 2017, our roof looks as new as the day we bought it. Here are the things we have noticed most about our Interlock Lifetime Roof over the last 8 years. It keeps our house much cooler in the summer than the asphalt roof we used to have. It really sheds snow, and the snow guards work great. We never need to use a snow rake. We love the durability and the curb appeal. Greg Weber our representative, who we were enthused to learn, is still with the company. When we saw him in 2009 he laid out all the variables in a professional way and our Interlock Roof has lived up to all of our expectations and promises he made. All companies promise results, service, and quality. Interlock delivers.
The installation was super smooth. Every installer was courteous and professional. We get lots of compliments, and people stop by all the time to admire it. One of the biggest misconceptions about metal roofing is people think it’s loud. Our Interlock roof is very silent. The only way I know if it’s raining is if I look out a window. Also, the snow just slides off. We are also in a wind tunnel area, and we have never lost an Interlock shingle, and we have had the roof for many years. We were so pleased with our Interlock roof that we put the same roof on our lake home in northern Wisconsin. We get a lot more snow up there and the Interlock’s snow-shedding performance capabilities are second to none on that roof, too!
I love the roof! It looks great, and the squirrels that we’re crawling all over my old asphalt roof slide right off it. The snow slides off, too. I hope to get some $500 referrals. The crew was terrific, hardworking, courteous, polite, and clean.
Drip, drip, drip. This is not a sound you want to hear at 3:30 am… in bed… coming from your attic… in the dead of winter. A quick peek in the attic confirmed my worst fears, the ice dam on the roof was allowing melted water to seep through the crappy asphalt shingles and into the house. We called a local contractor and had the ice dam removed, but this didn’t fix the underlying problem that our current roof was cheap and damaged. My wife and I moved into a beautiful three-story brick Tudor on Madison’s near west side in the fall of 06′. It was perfect in that it had been beautifully remodeled with gorgeous woodwork, marble, and stunning attention to detail, with the exception of the roof. We had decided that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, this was the house we were going to stay in until retirement, so why not invest in a metal roof. After a couple of weeks of research and interviewing, we settled on Interlock. Part of the choice was made on the quality of the product, and part was made on the salesmanship of the rep, Chuck. Work started and except for some problems with the weather, things progressed smoothly. We were especially impressed with the steps the crew took in regard to safety, and our stay-at-home neighbor told us about how exciting the crew was, “you’re definitely getting your money's worth,” was her exact quote. At the end of the job, the crew even emptied all the trash we had pulled out of the attic for us. Now that’s service! After everything is said and done, we’ve been able to cap off our gorgeous house with an equally gorgeous roof.
I had Interlock put on a beautiful red slate roof 17 years ago.The roof still looks beautiful. 5 years ago, I had them also re-roof my garage with the same type of slate. The roofs look gorgeous and I have no maintenance whatsoever.I get complements all the time. The guy whom I contracted with was named "Tim' but has since died. He was a really nice guy. Back in 2009, the roof was much cheaper. ( I actually paid more for the garage 5 years ago!) I am extremely happy with the roofs. The guys did a wonderful job, replacing rotted boards where necessary. They also told me about very cheap gutters I could buy at Menards instead of those ridiculously - priced "special" gutter systems. I bought them and they placed them on my buildings. This home will go to my daughter one day; I do not want her to have to lift a finger. Note that I had an asphalt roof previously. It lasted only 12 years. The shingles curled up under the sun and cracked. They looked terrible. I can honestly say that these metals roofs by Interlock are very much worth what you pay for them. They will last a lifetime with almost no maintenance. Instead of replacing a roof every 15 years and paying lots for asphalt or fiberglass, their metal roofs last very long and you will never have to re- roof again.
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems: We purchased our Interlock Lifetime Roof in June 2014. We are very happy with the look, durability of the material, and finish. After a snowfall, the heat of the sun will warm the roof and allow the snow to shed from the roof. We have a great sense of security, knowing it can withstand higher winds than conventional asphalt. In fact, our neighbors lost many shingles in the last major wind storm, and our Interlock roof proved to be the high wind resistance product it is with all shingles intact. We love the fact it’s more reliable and has peace of mind knowing it has lots of longevity and will look brand new not only now but down the road. We also received a discount on our homeowner’s insurance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our sales representative Greg Weber, the company, the service, and the product.
In March 2017 we had an Interlock Lifetime Roof installed. Greg Weber, the salesman, was not pushy. We were very impressed with his salesmanship and the product. He also offered to have the Interlock product put on our wishing well in the front yard. That was something we really appreciated. The clean-up was excellent! Many neighbors and people who " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by the house have noticed the roof and asked a lot of questions. We have gotten lots of compliments!
The Interlock crew was able to take some extra time to coordinate with another contractor for solar installation. As a result, the final the result looks great and very functional. The materials used are very high quality, and they worked efficiently and cleaned up when finished.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Grasslyn Manor
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Grasslyn Manor, Wisconsin. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Grasslyn Manor.
Does metal roofing handle Wisconsin snow loads and ice dams?
Yes — Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels shed snow efficiently and resist ice damming because the smooth surface and thermal properties prevent the freeze-thaw cycle that traps meltwater. Grasslyn Manor receives about 88 cm of snow annually with roughly 79 freeze-thaw days per year, making shedding ability critical. The lightweight aluminum (Slate installs at 0.41 lb/sq ft) distributes weight evenly without overloading framing, and optional snow guards can be installed where local code requires them. The coating doesn't degrade from repeated thaw cycles the way asphalt does.
How does aluminum metal roofing survive freeze-thaw cycles?
Aluminum's oxide layer self-heals when scratched and doesn't absorb moisture like asphalt or wood — two conditions that drive freeze-thaw damage. In Grasslyn Manor's 79 annual freeze-thaw days, traditional roofing materials expand and contract, cracking and curling; aluminum's 3105-H24 alloy flexes without permanent deformation. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating, warranted 30 years against chalking, provides a moisture barrier that asphalt loses within 10-15 years. The result: no ice-driven splitting, cracking, or curling over decades.
Can aluminum roofing rust?
No — aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. Iron oxidizes into rust; aluminum oxidizes into a protective oxide layer that actually self-heals when scratched. The roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 alloys (ASTM B209) have been installed from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations since 1998 without rust failure. Grasslyn Manor's 822 mm of annual rainfall and occasional winter salt spray are not corrosion risks for aluminum. The two-sided Alunar coating adds 30 additional years of chalking and fading protection — redundant protection you simply don't get with steel.
Will a metal roof blow off in Wisconsin wind?
No. Interlock panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. Grasslyn Manor experiences typical daily-max winds around 22 km/h with gusts to 96 km/h — well within that rating. The four-way interlocking design creates a unified roof plane that distributes uplift across all panels rather than exposing individual fasteners. Each panel locks to its neighbors on all four sides, which is why the system qualifies for ICC-ES evaluation ESR-1790 (2025 reissue). The warranty also covers wind-driven water infiltration when the roof is properly installed.
Does hail damage metal roofing, and can I get an insurance discount?
Interlock aluminum achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating — the highest available — and the Guardian Warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Many insurers offer discounts for Class 4-rated roofing because the loss history is superior to asphalt. The aluminum's light weight (Mediterranean Tile at 0.59 lb/sq ft) actually reduces the stress of impact versus concrete or clay tile. Submit your UL 2218 Class 4 rating and the 30-year Guardian Warranty to your agent; document any insurer discount in writing before installation so you capture the savings.
Does metal roofing reduce cooling costs in Wisconsin?
Yes — Interlock's energy-efficient colors reflect solar heat rather than absorb it. Thermal emissivity reaches 0.84 and initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 on Aged Copper Penny, which means less heat enters your attic on Grasslyn Manor's roughly 3128 annual sunshine hours. Asphalt absorbs that energy and re-radiates it downward into the home. Cool Roof Rating Council measurement proves the reflectance, reducing summer air-conditioning load. Over a 50-year roof life, the energy savings often offset the material cost versus asphalt — especially in a climate where you're cooling most of the year.
Do I need to reinforce my roof frame for metal roofing?
No. Interlock aluminum is extraordinarily light — the Mediterranean Tile profile installs at just 0.59 lb/sq ft, about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Most homes can accommodate this weight without any structural reinforcement. In fact, Interlock installs over most existing asphalt roofs without removing shingles first, which saves labor and waste. Your existing framing already supports heavier snow loads; 88 cm of Grasslyn Manor snow weighs far more than the metal roof itself. A local structural engineer can confirm roof-load capacity in writing if your home has unusual framing, but reinforcement is rarely required.
How much maintenance does a metal roof need?
Virtually none — aluminum does not rot, split, curl, or require painting or sealing. Unlike asphalt, which hardens and cracks in Wisconsin's 79 annual freeze-thaw days, or wood shake, which splits and requires treatment, Interlock's Alunar-coated aluminum sheds debris, resists mold, and remains dimensionally stable. Inspect gutters annually and clear leaves; that's standard for any roof. The Guardian Warranty covers all common failure modes — rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, loss of impact resistance — for the life of the original owner. The next owner gets 50 years of coverage. No other roofing material offers maintenance-free durability at this price point.
Is metal roofing worth the upfront cost versus asphalt shingles?
Over the roof's life, yes. Asphalt typically lasts 15-20 years in Wisconsin's 822 mm annual rainfall and repeated freeze-thaw cycles; you'll replace it 2-3 times in 50 years. Interlock carries a lifetime limited Guardian Warranty for the original owner — non-prorated material coverage — plus a transferable 50-year term for the next owner. The math: two asphalt replacements plus disposal costs, tear-off labor, and increased cooling costs from poor reflectance often exceed one Interlock installation. Energy savings alone on energy-efficiency colors reduce air-conditioning load across 3128 annual sunshine hours. Resale value typically increases with a known-durable roof. Calculate total cost of ownership, not just the bid price.
How long does metal roofing installation take?
Installation typically takes 2-5 days depending on roof size and complexity. Interlock's four-way interlocking system is faster to install than standing seam because panels lock together without exposed fasteners; crews don't chase individual screw holes. You can install over your existing asphalt roof without removal, which saves a full day and keeps disposal costs low — a major advantage in Wisconsin where tear-offs generate waste and labor expense. Your local Interlock installer, serving the region since 2001, will schedule around weather. With Grasslyn Manor's 822 mm annual rainfall, spring and fall are ideal; summer offers the most consistent window. A site visit confirms the exact timeline for your home.
Is a metal roof a good choice for Grasslyn Manor’s climate?
Yes. Grasslyn Manor averages about 88 cm of snow, 822 mm of rain, roughly 79 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 96 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
