This project used an Interlock® Cedar Shingle system in Black on a home in Leduc, AB, completed November 9, 2016. The project covered roughly 36 squares of roofing. With the caveat that if certain people in the installation crew show up, that they should refuse them entrance. The first installation crew could have improved on every aspect of their demeanor. They could have put the roof on right the first time and communicated more effectively and avoided damaging my siding. The salesman should have been aware you can't install roofing over old shingles. They could have communicated that they needed to remove shingles even though it was creating a problem. They could have set it up that the roof didn't leak into my walls. They could have put the roofing material on that was represented in the sales meeting. They could have communicated better about the fact that there were two different strengths of roofing. I would tell them to ensure that their installation crews are concerned with customer satisfaction. They should also communicate more effectively with the customer during installation and not just with the speed at which the roof can be put on regardless of the appearance.
