This project used an Interlock® Cedar Shingle system in Black on a home in Medicine Hat, AB, completed April 30, 2017. The project covered roughly 15 squares of roofing. Brian and Ann R. rated the work 5 out of 5 in an independent survey conducted by GuildQuality on June 15, 2017. Problem Resolution scored 5 out of 5, with the homeowner noting: “I requested flashing for the chimney to be black. She said she has ordered it, but she is still waiting on the follow up.” The installation was carried out by Interlock Roofing.
I noticed that there was some black wood that was stained. I took it among myself that it would be replaced, but they just screwed down a lot of the wood that was loose. I wondered why they didn't replace the black wood, but I didn't ask. I trust that it isn't rotten because they didn't replace it and they told me it wasn't rotten. We are really very pleased with the roof. Overall, I am really very happy with it. It makes the house look really nice. Matthew said that if he is in the area he will come back and take a picture of the house to advertise it.
