This project used an Interlock® Slate system in Colonial Brown on a home in Upper Kingsclear, NB, completed June 8, 2021. The project covered roughly 39 squares of roofing. Great looking and solid product (& accessories) as well as a professional installation crew. The warranty information is unclear, and a laymen's version should be provided. I was unclear about why a separate install warranty of 10 years is provided, when it was my understanding that the product is warrantied for my lifetime (50 years transferable - non-prorated) for as long as I own the home. I was advised that the install warranty is specific to workmanship, but it seems to me that this should be a contract between the installing contractor and Interlock, rather than a warranty for me. I would expect Interlock to resolve product / workmanship issues for the duration of my warranty, since it is why Interlock chooses the installing contractors, and since the longevity of the product is closely related to its installation.
