  While not really an issue in our case, the project start was delayed longer than expected. The new roof was installed before the first snow fall but this seemed to happen because of a delay at another site. Better scheduling overall may have helped avoid this delay.   The installer did not put down an ice and snow underlayment from what I observed - it is a very flimsy sheeting. I have ice forming on the nails and making a wet mess of things. He should have done some basic clean up in the attic prior to departure - took my husband 2.5 hours to clean up the mess.

  I think the salesperson should not rush or push you to do the contract. It's a big contract, a big amount. They should let the client think about it, not say you have to do it today or you don't get the discount. It's a big decision and the salesperson said you have to do it tonight or you don't get the discount.

  The only thing that we would have preferred is that we got a copy of the quote and information, even though we did not think we would be doing the roof at this time. Also, the time frame for deciding on doing the roof seems too short. We had the rep come because we wanted more information as we are interested in the somewhat near future having this done, but did not know this would make us lose a discount if we chose not to do it _right now_.

  One concern that I had, was that the customer satisfaction survey that Interlock Roofing asked me to fill out, was required to be filled out in the presence of the installer at the immediate completion of the job on the day he left. That made little to no sense to me. A person should have the opportunity to enjoy the product for a specified period of time before filling out customer satisfaction analysis.

  I liked the system because I will be in the house for a while. We find the materials are very expensive. There is always a way to find affordable and good materials. I was talking to the salesman. I asked if he would take the old shingles out. He said no. That bothers me as an owner because I am spending a lot of money on a roof. I don't know if it will rot underneath. That is the only thing that made me upset.
